Puerto Viejo Skies has adopted an inclusive definition of "Active Adult Living" Community in Mexico. Our vision is to have a community built for persons who desire to continue to live independently among their peers in an environment that is secure and offers plenty of activities that help keep community member fit, alert and comfortable in an age-appropriate way. The community is marketed to couples or individuals who have no children under the age of 18 living with them.
Our age-restrictions will make our properties available only to a population which includes 80% to persons 55 and older and 20% to persons 40 and older. The intent of these restrictions is to have a true adult community, this is not to say that grand children or other children are not welcome to visit, it is just that the environment is built for adults. Our CC & R’s will reflect these restrictions and include specific times (December 20th thru January 7th) where children will be allowed not only to visit but to enjoy the common areas such as the swimming pool with the adults.
